Catherine Riker, M.S.Ed.

Director of Education/Berlin

Catherine has always wanted to be a teacher since she was young. She attended Marist College for her undergraduate degree in Psychology where she studied both Special Education and Elementary Education. After completing her student teaching in Poughkeepsie, she knew she wanted to grow her knowledge in helping students with exceptional needs. She went on to earn a MSEd from Queens College in Literacy Education. After working as a paraeducator in the public schools and then as a special educator in private special education schools, she solidified her passion for supporting and growing other educators around herself. This motivated her to complete a 6th Year in Educational Leadership and Administration (092). She holds certifications in Elementary Education, Special Education (K-12) and Educational Leadership.
